What Drone Outlaws Is
Your PWNA or IWCA membership covers the trade. Outlaws covers the aircraft.
Drone Outlaws is the operator-led trade association for commercial drone-cleaning operators. Standards, benchmarks, matched chemistry, and a community built around the aircraft.
Drone cleaning is its own trade now: flight ops, chemical application via drone, airspace and jobsite coordination, Part 107 workflow integration. The traditional associations were built for the cleaning trade, and they do that job well. None of them were built around the aircraft, and the operators flying these jobs have been figuring the aircraft side out alone.
Operators set the direction.
Outlaws is run by the people flying the jobs: an operator-majority board with voting rights. Operators set the direction, not vendors.
Two entities, separate books.
Commerce runs at arm's length through Drone Outlaws Supply Co, with separate books. The association never runs the store.
Current status: Both entities are still being formed and the founding contracts are still in draft. What this page describes is the plan as it stands, not a finished organization.
